Mauhoobah Butt
Communications Associate
Mauhoobah Butt is a Communications Associate at the Global Fund to End Modern Slavery, where she is responsible for developing communications and public relations strategies to advance the Fund’s mission. She is an avid photographer and communicator, passionate about sustainable development and advancing human rights.
She previously worked on wildlife and ecosystem conservation projects in Laikipia and Kipini, Kenya, and has a strong background in communications with previous experience working with the WPP group, at the Wunderman Thompson Kenya office. Additionally, Mauhoobah has volunteered in conference and communication management at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development in both Nairobi and Geneva.
She holds a Master of Arts in Communication Management from Universitat Pompeu Fabra-Barcelona School of Management and a Bachelor of Commerce from Strathmore University. She is fluent in English, Swahili and Punjabi, has a working knowledge of Spanish and an understanding of German.
