Request for Concept Notes [Closed]

The Global Fund to End Modern Slavery (GFEMS) is pleased to announce new funding available to combat modern slavery through an agreement with the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID). GFEMS will distribute approximately USD 15M across 14 opportunities in support of its overall Theory of Change. These opportunities fall into the following categories:

  • Overseas Labour Recruitment – India & Bangladesh

  • Commercial Sexual Exploitation (of Children) – India & Bangladesh

  • Apparel – India & Bangladesh

Please find the Fund’s full Request for Concept Notes below. The 14 opportunities consist of evidence-based interventions, experimental innovations, or a combination thereof; consult the Request for more details. Applicants must submit an 8-page concept note in the required template by Monday September 2nd at 11:59 pm EDT to be considered for any funding. Applicants may submit a letter of interest in order to access additional GFEMS research that will support design work.

Proposal Information

  • Intervention/Combination Award Ceiling: USD 5M 

  • Intervention/Combination Award Floor: USD 500K 

  • Intervention Period of Performance: 24 months

  • Innovation Ceiling: USD 250K per innovation

  • Innovation Period of Performance: 18 months

  • Call for concept notes released: July 25, 2019

  • Letter of Interest Deadline: August 15, 2019, 11:59 pm EDT. Please submit your letter of interest to [email protected] with the subject Opportunity X.X [Question/Letter of Interest/Concept Note]”.
